Siglz Studios LLC ("Siglz," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights with respect to that information.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: When you register, we collect your email address and any profile details you choose to provide (username).

Cast and practice data: We store the intentions you write, the hexagrams you cast, and your meditation session records (dates, durations, and session counts).

Usage data: We may collect basic usage information such as pages visited and features used to improve the Service.

Subscription and billing data: Your subscription status, Stripe customer ID, and subscription ID are stored in association with your account to manage your access to Siglz Plus. We do not store payment card details — these are handled entirely by Stripe.

Device preferences: Dark/light mode and theme preferences are stored in your browser's local storage on your device only and are never transmitted to our servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• Cast and interpret the I Ching based on your stated intentions
• Track your meditation practice history
• Send transactional emails (account verification, password reset)
• Respond to your support requests
• Detect and prevent abuse or policy violations

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Base (free) tier accounts may be shown advertisements served through Google AdSense, which may use cookies or similar technology for ad personalization and measurement — see Sections 4 and 5 for details. Siglz Plus subscribers are not shown ads.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored using Google Firebase, a managed platform with servers located in the United States. Firebase employs industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest.

While we take reasonable precautions, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Google Firebase — database, authentication, and file storage
• Google Gemini API — content safety screening of submitted intentions, and generating personalized AI interpretations of your I Ching readings on request. Your submitted text is sent via secure API for processing; this data is processed confidentially and is not used to train public models.
• Stripe — payment and subscription processing. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe; we do not store or retain your credit card details on our servers. We receive and store only the identifiers necessary to manage your subscription (customer ID, subscription ID, and subscription status).
• Google AdSense — displays advertisements to Base (free-tier) accounts to help support the free plan. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technology to serve and measure ads based on your activity on this and other sites. You can review or adjust your ad personalization settings at Google Ads Settings. Siglz Plus subscribers are not shown ads.

5. Cookies and Local Storage

We use standard browser local storage to remember your dark/light mode and theme preferences. This data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

To keep you securely logged into your account, our authentication provider (Google Firebase) utilizes essential cookies and secure session tokens in your browser. These are strictly necessary for the Service to function, protect your security, and are never used for cross-site tracking or advertising.

Base (free) tier accounts may also be served cookies by Google AdSense for ad delivery, personalization, and measurement. You can manage ad personalization at Google Ads Settings, or opt out of personalized advertising generally at aboutads.info. Siglz Plus subscribers are not shown ads and are not served these cookies.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and practice data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Object to certain processing of your data
• Data portability (export of your data)

8. Age Requirement

The Service is intended for adults only. You must be at least 18 years of age to use Siglz. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a minor has provided personal information, we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or in-app notice. The effective date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
