How Siglz Works
A quick reference for casting, meditation, journaling, and your account.
What Siglz Is
Siglz sits at the intersection of manifestation and divination. You write a personal intention and cast the I Ching, receiving a hexagram — a visual symbol for that intention — along with an oracle reading interpreting your specific situation. Each cast is a personal artifact meant for reflection, meditation, and ongoing practice.
Casting the I Ching
- Choose "Cast New I Ching" from the menu
- Type a personal intention — a goal, desire, or area of focus
- Tap "Cast the I Ching" — this immediately casts your hexagram, no picking or browsing involved
- Casting is completely free and unlimited for every account, no credit card required
Your Collection & Oracle Reading
Every cast lives in your Collection and gets a free reading instantly — no waiting, no subscription required. It's a modernized version of James Legge's 1899 public-domain translation, covering the Present hexagram's meaning, the changing line's meaning, and the Becoming hexagram it transforms into.
Every cast has exactly one changing line, which shows what's transforming and reveals a second (Becoming) hexagram — where the energy is headed.
Meditation
Meditation is what binds the hexagram's image to your intention — it's where the symbol takes root. Available from any cast's detail page via the Meditate button.
- Choose a duration: 1, 3, or 5 minutes
- Enters full-screen immersive mode with ambient gong sounds and a countdown timer
- Your intention is briefly shown at the start before the hexagram takes over
- Ends naturally with a gong and completion animation — or exit early anytime with Escape or the End Session button
Meditation is free and unlimited for every account, regardless of subscription status.
Journal Plus
Each cast has its own journal — a private, ongoing log of entries you write over time, like a running set of reflections tied to that specific intention and reading. Add as many entries as you like; each one is timestamped and stays attached to that cast. Entries you've already written stay readable even if your subscription later lapses — only adding new ones requires an active Siglz Plus subscription.
Base vs. Plus
Casting, the free oracle reading, and meditation are unlimited for every account — there's no credit limit and never has been.
- Base (free): everything above, supported by ads
- Siglz Plus: personalized AI interpretation for every cast, journaling, no ads, and first access to future premium features
Current pricing and billing details are on the Subscribe page.
Account & Username
Your username is auto-generated from your email at signup. To change it: open the menu (top right) → tap your username/email → tap "Change" next to your username → enter a new one and save. Usernames must be 3–20 characters — lowercase letters, numbers, and underscores only — and unique.
Writing a Good Intention
The I Ching is traditionally an oracle you consult by asking it something, so framing your intention as a question tends to give the reading more to respond to — but write it however feels natural to you.
- Questions work well: "How can I find more clarity in my relationship with my mother?" or "What's holding back my creative work right now?"
- Statements work too, if that's how you think: "Courage in my creative work"
- Specific beats vague, either way — vague questions get vague readings
- One focused idea per cast — don't combine multiple goals
